Terms of Service

1. General

Welcome to MAISON Auction House ("the Platform"). Please read these Terms of Service carefully before registering or using the Platform. By registering or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. The Platform reserves the right to modify these terms at any time; updated terms take effect upon publication.

2. Registration & Accounts

  • 2.1Users must be at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to register an account.
  • 2.2Users must provide truthful, accurate, and complete registration information and keep it up to date.
  • 2.3Users are responsible for safeguarding their account credentials. Losses from unauthorized access are the user's responsibility.
  • 2.4Before bidding, users must link a valid bank card and pay the auction deposit.

3. Auction Rules

  • 3.1The Platform uses English auction rules — the highest bidder wins. Bidding starts at the starting price and increases incrementally until the auction ends.
  • 3.2Each bid must be at least the current highest bid plus the minimum bid increment.
  • 3.3Bids are legally binding once submitted and cannot be retracted. Please confirm the amount before bidding.
  • 3.4If a new bid is placed within the last 5 minutes, the auction is automatically extended by 5 minutes to ensure fair competition.
  • 3.5If a reserve price is set and the final bid does not meet it, the lot is considered unsold.

4. Deposit Policy

  • 4.1A $500 deposit is required before bidding, serving as a good-faith guarantee.
  • 4.2After the auction ends, deposits for non-winning bidders are automatically refunded.
  • 4.3Winning bidders receive their deposit refund after completing the final payment.
  • 4.4If the winning bidder fails to pay within the specified timeframe, the deposit may be forfeited as a penalty.

5. Payment & Delivery

  • 5.1The winning bidder must complete payment within 48 hours after the auction ends.
  • 5.2After payment, the seller must arrange shipping within the agreed timeframe.
  • 5.3The buyer should inspect the lot upon receipt and confirm delivery in the system. Quality issues must be reported within 72 hours of receipt.

6. Disclaimer

The Platform acts as an auction intermediary and endeavors to ensure the accuracy of lot information but does not guarantee the authenticity, quality, or value of any lot. The Platform is not liable for service interruptions or losses caused by force majeure events including natural disasters, network failures, or regulatory changes.

7. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from or related to these terms shall first be resolved through amicable negotiation. If negotiation fails, either party may file a lawsuit with the court having jurisdiction over the Platform's registered location.
